Music in Advertising: Walter Meego "Forever"

The last installation of Music in Advertising featured a Heineken ad as does this installation. Heineken's new spot by Wieden & Kennedy is called "Home Bars". It was directed by Stave Ayson. The music comes courtesy of Walter Meego. Walter Meego, despite the name, is actually an electronic music duo from Chicago. The song featured in the commercial is titled "Forever" and comes from their 2008 debut album Voyager. The commercial itself is pretty boring. If watched without the music there is nearly nothing eye catching about the advertisement. Obviously Heineken is leaning on the catchiness of "Forever" to rope in the viewer. Luckily, the ad execs chose a very catchy song. I have heard numerous people humming this song around the office recently. MP3: Walter Meego "Forever"
