 Gorilla Zoe: Welcome to the Zoo
Gorilla Zoe was the rapper brought in to replace Young Jeezy in Boyz N Da Hood. His debut album Welcome to the Zoo is supposed to be a tour de force of gangsta rap.
Being the replacement of Young Jeezy, Zoe will constantly be compared with Jeezy. They are both Atlanta natives with raspy voices and lyrical content revolving around selling drugs. That's right about where the comparisons end. Jeezy is renowned for his ability to put street life into playful similes, while Zoe is a straight shooter. Some would say he lacks Jeezy's charisma, but the truth is Zoe has no charisma.
Gorilla Zoe isn't concerned with making catchy music, which is evident by his first single "Hood Nigga". The song's "chorus" isn't the catchy hook laden choruses we're all used to from Southern rappers. While Zoe's style would've fit in better during the inception of gangsta rap, in modern times gangsta rap has evolved to more poppy quarters. Zoe can't expect this to be an impact album with so few single worthy tracks appearing on it.

Im right there with you!! Its ALLL attitude, try looking BAADDD, big tufff man... Has his posse fighting for him, never was in a serious fight, and probably is a bleeder.... One thing tough, there is still good rappers out there. Problem is, no label wants to sing them.
