Tegan and Sara: The Con

Tegan and Sara: The Con The Canadian born identical twins known as Tegan and Sara return with the follow up to 2004's So Jealous. Produced by Death Cab for Cutie's Chris Walla and featuring the Rentals' Matt Sharp, AFI's Hunter Burgan, and guitarist Kaki King The Con is a star studded event. Star studded yet the album seems more melancholy than their past efforts. Each sister writes 7 songs on the release. Tegan writes the poppiest numbers on the album like "Hop a Plan" and "Back in Your Head" while Sara writes much weightier tunes like "Like O, Like H". The result is a very balanced album. Although, I think it's easy to choose a favorite writer (mine is Tegan), each sister is so talented that its impossible not to like them both. Rating: 8.0/10 MP3: Tegan and Sara "Hop a Plane"
